We have had a great week at Miss Ellies this week and have celebrated National Cruise week with lots of cruise promotions and in addition, Alison Lockwood became the first of our team to qualify as an accredited cruise expert through the Association of Cruise Experts. Alison has achieved this in record time and has worked hard to complete the modules needed to increase her knowledge and pass the programme with flying colours…..Congratulations, Alison, a fantastic achievement. Alison has cruised herself several times and is looking forward to visiting new ships as they are launched this year and 2011.
It was Hannah’s 21st birthday last week and we held a party for her in the office and as a surprise, her boyfriend whisked her away to Dubai for a short romantic break and took the opportunity to propose to her….we are now busy looking for dresses and hats!
Sue Copper, business development manager of Wendy Wu tours joined us for a day of staff training on their fabulous china tours. Everyone really enjoyed the sessions and all come out of the training saying they were putting China on their ‘places to go list’, which, as you can imagine working in the travel industry is ever growing! If you would like to know more about China and tours to this diverse country pop in or call us, there are also some last minute tours shown on our offers page.
Finally for this week, we have been supporting the Rainbow Child Foundation which is a charity close to the heart of entertainer ‘Chico’ and is a non-profit making organization looking after the needs of disadvantaged children around the world. Chico performed along with a fabulous Michael Jackson impersonator plus some up and coming dancers, we all took to the dance floor and had a great night supporting this charity which raised £20,000 for future projects.
