Board ship and overnight in Luxor

Tuesday
Sail to Esna - Visit the partially excavated Temple of Khnum, built in Greco Roman times by the Ptolemies - After Lunch we cross the lock and sail on to Edfu

Wednesday
Sightseeing of Edfu, and the extraordinary Temple of Horus, the mythical son of Isis and Osiris and on to Kom Ombo enjoying lunch on board and an afternoon free for leisure as we sail to Aswan

Thursday
Visit the High Dam, an engineering miracle, built in the 1960s, and the unfinished Obelisk in its bedrock of pink granite - Short boat trip to the Temple of Philae dedicated to the Egyptian God Isis - Afternoon at leisure

Friday
Optional excursion to Abu Simbel by air or morning at leisure and an afternoon felucca cruise along the Nile enjoying the views of the Aga Khan Mausoleum, Elephantine and Kitcheners Islands

Saturday
Early morning sailing to Kom Ombo, to visit the Temple dedicated to the two Gods Sobek and Haroeris - We continue sailing north.

Sunday
A morning excursion to the Valley of the Kings and the tombs of the new kingdom pharaohs, including Tutankhamen (separate ticket required) and Ramses the Great - After the Temple of Deir El Bahari, the mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut and a photo stop at the imposing Colossi of Memnon - Afternoon free - Optional evening excursion to the sound and light show at Karnak

Visit the East Bank temples of Karnak and Luxor - Lunch on board before disembarking
